My story

I was born in Cape Town and spent my early years moving across South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Life took me on many unexpected journeys—some joyful, some challenging. One of the most defining moments was meeting my wife, Michele, in Zimbabwe. We married soon after, and for the past 40 years, we’ve built a life filled with love, faith, and family. Together, we raised four incredible children—a daughter, a son, and twin boys—each of whom has taught me more about love, commitment, and the beauty of life’s milestones.
But my journey wasn’t always one of faith. I found Christianity as a young man, deeply shaped by the experiences of the Rhodesian war. That turning point led me to a life of service in a local church in Zimbabwe and working with refugees and then travelling through Southern Africa and America and later as a pastor in South Africa. Over the decades, I have had the honour of officiating countless weddings and funerals—each one a unique, sacred moment in the lives of those involved. Perhaps most special of all, I had the privilege of officiating two of my own children’s weddings, standing with them as they took their vows and began their own journeys in marriage.
Today, as a celebrant, my role is to bring meaning, warmth, and care to the ceremonies I lead. Whether it’s a wedding, a funeral, or another important life event, I believe that every ceremony should be a reflection of the people at its heart. I work closely with couples and families to design services that honour their beliefs, values, and wishes—whether religious or secular. If it’s a wedding, your love story will be at the centre, with vows that feel deeply personal and an atmosphere that celebrates your unique bond. If it’s a funeral, your loved one will be remembered with dignity, empathy, and the respect they deserve. Whatever the occasion, my goal is to create a moment that will be cherished forever.
